Last month, Ramsha Khan tweeted that having graduated from City University’s journalism course she was “now a professional journalist”. That prompted me to write an article saying how after 30 years of writing for a living, getting lawyers’ letters, death threats, buckets of online trolling and harassment etc, I guess with no degree I was not by this definition a “professional journalist”. Nor was my late uncle Christopher Booker. His Cambridge degree was in history, mine something worthless from Oxford. Neither of us was taught how to be a journalist in a degree course. It seems Ramsha is upset and has sent a threatening email this morning which, naturally, I publish in full below:

Has Roger Lawson of ShareSoc not heard of the Streisand Effect? Last week his lawyers sent a take-down letter to Audioboom about a bearcast that he asserted (wrongly) was defamatory and libellous. Since the podcast is more than a year old and so was rarely listened to these days his act was pointless but, more importantly,, Audioboom had no legal liability as libel is time limited by statute. But Audioboom has no cojones just like it has no FD after the last chap resigned without any explanation given but with immediate effect the other day. Barring a successful last minute appeal by two married celebs the celebrity injunction will be lifted on Thursday morning. The celebs front up an Aids charity but do not want you to know that the younger of the two plays away from home having unprotected anal sex including in threesomes in baths filled with olive oil. The UK Courts are now minded to accept that an injunction is pointless since the latest polls suggest that 55% of folks in England & Wales can now name the celebs. This is the Streisand effect - gagging is counterproductive.
